All-Cause Mortality (Age-Adjusted)
These charts shows the weekly reported age-adjusted mortality for the United States and its states over time.
Mortality is deaths per 100,000 residents. Death numbers are from CDC and yearly population data is from US Census Bureau. Age-adjustment is calculated by using each states latest age distribution to adjust the past years. The baseline is calculated as the pre-pandemic average of 2015-2019 adjusted for the linear trend (linear regression). The figures, are not suitable for comparison between states, as they do not normalize for differences in age structure.
